Pies, blue skies and Cougar highs

I made my first fresh homemade peach pie today! I'm not one to brag, but lets just say it was a biggo hitto and I'll be making it very soon! YUMMO! I took it to my Grandma's for din :)

The Cougars won thier first game against Northern Iowa....gooooo Cougars! Here we demonstrate the many faces of BYU. What a photo shoot.

This is me under the blue sky of Lake Powell. We went last Sunday through Thursday and it was amazing, pretty, relaxing and great as always! Tyler and I went on a couple of jet ski rides that were GORGEOUS. I cannot believe how pretty it is there! I got pretty good at being a surfer girl...it's so much fun!

After the game with the fam at Macaroni Grill! Tyler and I always get the teriyaki salmon.

Walt and Carol riding from the stadium to dinner. Peace, baby!

And by the way, I am currently reading The Other Boleyn Girl which I highly recommend. It is such a good book filled with pageful and pageful of drama and other fun. School starts for me on Tuesday and I have a pretty heavy load so wish me luck! I only have two more semesters left and then I graduate in the Spring! I can't believe how fast these last three years have gone and yet so much has happened in these years! They have been the best and most fun of my life!

Jack Johnson Concert

We went to the Jack Johnson concert last night and it was so much fun!

We (Walt, Carol, Lindsay, Katelin and I) got there around 3 pm because we had to pick Lindsay up from the airport and didn't want to drive all the way back to Provo just to turn around again. We were sitting in the VIP parking lot and could hear Jack Johnson practicing. The gates were wide open so we walked right past the gaurds and went in to our own front row private concert! We waved at Jack but you could tell he was confused that we were there ha ha :) So...a gaurd finally came up to us after about 10 minutes and was like, "You guys know you are aren't supposed to be here right?" We were kind of joking around with him and then got up to leave. We went a different way than we were supposed to go because we wanted to up a few more rows to where Walt and Carol were to get them to leave, and the gaurd got SO MAD at us and was telling Walt that we were sarcarstic and rude even though we weren't!! It was quite the situation, especially when this older guy said, "You think that's funny, well I'll show you what's funny! I'll take away your tickets and give you a refund!" Well, I think they might need better gaurds because they just let us walk right in! And you know what? It was totally worth it :) The picture below is of our private practice session of Jack Johnson. Not bad.

This is us sweating in line for an hour after we left the VIP parking area. They opened it ten minutes later than normal just so we wouldn't be able to get good seats! Little did they know we had walked over to this line and we got prime seats. Sheesh...we don't look that harmful, do we?!

Mr. and Mrs. Marc and Courtney Hansen!

I am SO HAPPY we moved back to Utah for many reasons, but one being that I was able to attend the wedding and celebrations of my friend Courtney that I have known since 3rd grade! The morning of her wedding, Aug. 14, started out quite hectic because I couldn't locate the whereabouts of my temple bag which contained my temple recommend. I was freaking out....you mean I moved back to Utah and now I won't be about to go to her wedding because I can't FIND MY TEMPLE RECOMMEND! After searching high and low, in our apartment and through the Parcell's house, I talked to Carol and she said she had seen a bunch of suitcases thrown into a closet in the basement (which is two floors below my apartment) and low and behold there lay my shining temple bag, recommend in tow just in the nick of time. Whew!

Courtney's sisters Sydney and Chelsea who grow taller and taller each time I see them!
The MFEO (made for each other) couple, freshly married for time and all eternity :)

Courtney and I at her reception in Springville with her groom in the background

Hayden and Amanda came to the reception with me...this is them waiting ever-so-hopingly for the bouquet to land in their anxious hands.

The cute little candy bag given out at their wedding dinner the night before. Her initials are C.A.R and his are M.P.H. You can't tell me that wasn't premeditated.

Me trying to get a picture with the bride...oops she didn't make the picture
Hayden jumping on the trampoline with the young boys. Boy, did she have the time of her life.
Three peas in a pod!

Marc and Courtney met in 2004 when Court and I went to EFY together in Provo. He was in our group! They dated throughout senior year, he went on a mission, and she waited for her one true love! They really are a match made in heaven, I love it! They are both seriously hilarious and I can't wait to double date all the time in the Fall <3

Packing and Unpacking

These past two weeks have been crazy...but welcome to our life!! :) Tyler and I moved back to Utah and I am staying with his parents while he sells during the week in different places in Utah and then comes home on Saturday nights. It is hard being away from each other but it will be worth it in the end. Tyler is doing SO well and I am so proud of him and his work ethic. Ty and I are moving into Walt and Carol's (in-laws) apartment in their house. It is so nice!! It is a complete apartment with our own entrance, kitchen, bathroom, living room, etc.! I have been working my little bum off to put it together and organize everthing. Boy, do I ever hate moving. It was fun to look at and put away all of my wedding presents (!!) but it has definitely been a big task. I am working at Ruby River Steakhouse again and I love it! I have already worked 4 shifts and have a lot this week. It is the first place I served and it is like my little Utah working home. I feel so comfortable there and I am so glad I have that job! Plus, who doesn't want a discount on a nice, juicy filet? I'm in.

I had a pretty good weekend. My best friend from 3rd grade - Courtney - is getting married on Aug. 14 and I went to her bridal shower on Saturday. It was so much fun to catch up with her! She is one of those friends that even if I don't see her for a while, when I do nothing changes. I am so excited to be able to attend her temple sealing, wedding dinner and reception. Had Tyler and I not moved back I would not be able to go to it! Ty came home on Saturday night and we went to Los Hermanos for dinner. We were practically giddy to be around each other because we hadn't seen each other all week! I am the most happy when I am with my sweet husband and we had a lot of fun!

I'll put up pictures of our apartment when I get it finished. I won't lie, it might take a while....a week or so hopefully! xoxo
