Ward Halloween Party!
Tyler standing next to a tree, trying to blend in...
Ty and I went to Wal-Mart last night to get our costume supplies, and then started to make our costumes!
My niece Paisley would start crying when I would talk to her! The poor thing was stressed about the crazy costume. Her little one-year-old self couldn't handle it!

Tyler and Brynley
My cute sister-in-law Heather holding her little ballerina :)
Me and Jett, I mean Lightening McQueen
Carol and Walt were hippies....I told them they should have dressed up!! Ha ha j/k, that was Tyler's funny joke
Our friends represented the summer and winter Olympics! You can't really tell in this picture, but Caroline is pregnant and due in January
And last but not least....Tyler and I as "The Changing of the Seasons." I was a summer tree and Tyler was a fall tree! The party was a lot of fun!We had delicious chili, salad and rolls with root beer for dinner. They had caramel apples, cookie decorating, scones and an adult game that Tyler I got enough points to be 4th place! We won a bag of Twix :) The ENTIRE ward got dressed up and it was so fun to see the creative costumes! One family was a bunch of fruit. One person was grapes, one was a pear and so on. We had a really good time!

This and That
Date night and Saturday fun!
Tyler and I woke up at 7 a.m. on Saturday morn and went to the temple, went to breakfast at Magleby's and then went to the football game. After a long three hour nap, I woke up and we went to dinner at Cafe Rio (yum) and then we got together with Ashley and Bobby, and Courtney and Marc to go to the Nightmare on 13th haunted house in Salt Lake. We had a lot of fun together!

Jenica's "Better Than Boys" Cookies

I am feeling generous today, and I have decided to share with you one of my favorite cookie recipes. It is easy easy easy, and oh so delicious :) I have literally been cooking this recipe since I was in middle school.
Jenica's "Better Than Boys" Cookies
Mix With a Spoon:
1/3 cup oil
2 eggs
1 cake mix (white is definitely best)
Add candy sprinkles (optional), sanding sugar or other decorations. Scoop into balls and smash with the bottom of a glass. Put on non-greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 375 for 6-8 minutes.
Enjoy!

My professor gave out candy tonight in class, and I chose one of those single-size packages of Starbursts.
I opened the little package, and BOTH of them were pink. You can't tell me that isn't good luck.
In other good news, Tyler and I went to Spoon Me tonight, a new yogurt place in Provo. And then we spooned.

Great week, good people, fun times
Hello all! This week was a great week. Monday and Tuesday were insanely busy with school, but I made it through and we're doing well!
1) On Monday night, Tyler and I went to his grandma's house in Heber for dinner. It was delicious, with great rolls, roast and all the trimmings. We then finished it off with banana cream pie :)
2) That night, we saw Eagle Eye, which I thought was a pretty good movie!
3) Tuesday, his parents came home from Paris and Portugal. We went to Outback with them to eat and it was delicious.
4) I went to lunch with my dad on Wednesday! We met at Kneaders and it was delicious. We are making this a weekly ritual that I absolutely love :)
5) I worked Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights. The chilly fall weather, for some reason, makes people want to eat out more so it was really crowded at Ruby River!
6) Watched Grey's Anatomy...don't worry, it's still my favorite tv show
7) I went to lunch with Kacie on Friday. We went to Jason's Deli and it was so much fun! We ate a little too much of their strawberry shortcake, but it wasn't our fault. It was just so good.
8) Went to the football game on Saturday against New Mexico. We bundled up very warmly because it was such a cold day! Like I'm talking a long sleeve shirt, jacket, another jacket, and a coat with a scarf to top it off. Plus a big blanket, snow boots and hot chocolate. For the most part, I stayed pretty warm!
9) After the game, Ty and I went to Pizza Factory. I had been craving their breadsticks, and the didn't disappoint!
10) After dinner, we rented Darkness Falls, a scary movie (in the spirit of Halloween) about the tooth fairy. Yikes.
11) Today, we went to church, then came home and helped his parents/family with dinner. It was delish and nutrish :) I truly love to cook. I made the banana cream pie (twice in one week!) tonight and it turned out well for my first time! Plus, Carol made heavenly rolls. Thank you!
12) I forgot to mention, I made homemade chili on Wednesday night! Tyler loved it, and I thought it was pretty dang good myself! This week I'm going to try homemade bread that I learned at Enrichment a little while ago.
13) Also, it was my grandma's birthday on Tuesday! I went to Williams-Sonoma and got her some bowls and a garlic grater. I LOVE Williams-Sonoma. And I LOVE my grandma! Tyler and I went to give it to her on Wednesday night and had a fun chat with her and my grandpa. I'm so lucky they live so close by. And for myself, I got pink and purple sanding sugar, a candy thermometer, and Martha Stewart's Cookies cookbook! I made cute pink and purple sugar cookies this week! Yummo
If anyone has any great recipes that you think I should try, let me know!
Last but not least, I miss my mom :( Yes mom, that's you! I can't wait to see you next month! You are very missed!!

Sunday Night Baking
Tyler and I decided to make all sorts of treats on Sunday! During the day I made lemon bars and the dough for sugar cookies which we will make into Halloween-shaped cookies. (I got this huge bucket of cookie cutters at Bed, Bath & Beyond that has all sorts of fun shapes!) Then Tyler wanted to make something that he wanted to eat, so we made oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. We had a fun, relaxing day which was much needed for me :)
