Thanksgiving weekend

Thanksgiving weekend is always one of my most favorite weekends of the year. I love that I get to relax with family all weekend long. On Wednesday, my boss took us to lunch and then I got off work early. I went to pick up movie tickets for the following day then went to my mom's house and did gel nails with my sister. I met her boyfriend that night and then went home to hang out with Ty. The following day was Thanksgiving and Ty and I made coconut sweet potatoes and rolls. We went to the gym then got ready and went to dinner at my grandma's. The food was unreal! Dream dinner. She got this special turkey that is de-boned and it was really moist and yummo. That night we met up with Walt and Carol and Lindsay and saw Frozen. It's a tradition that we always see movies with their family and my family on Thanksgiving night.

On Friday Ty and I went to the gym and put up Christmas lights on the outside of our house. We met up with my family for bit then went shopping around. We had leftovers at my grandma's house then came home and watched Red 2. On Saturday, Tyler cleaned the church building and I cleaned our house then we drove around with Tyler and Nicole Richards to help them find a lot to build their house on. Tyler is going to build their house for them. I went to the gym when we got back then we got ready and Walt and Carol picked us up for the BYU vs Utah State basketball game at the Energy Solutions Arena. We met Lindsay and Jocelyn at Market Street Grill beforehand and the food was really good! I love fish. The game was a blast. Their fans are totally loud and nuts but we ended up winning by 12 points I believe. Fun weekend!

Today was Welles' baby blessing so we drove up to Daybreak right after we got out of church. The blessing was beautiful and there was a great Spirit there. I made and brought yummy sugar cookies and we had a luncheon at Oakley and Scott's friends house afterward. It was a special day for their adorable family!

Fun...fun....and more fun

On the day that we dropped off Katelin at the MTC, I went back to work and then that night I met my dad for dinner at Olive Garden. It's always nice to catch up with him. The Parcells picked me up from the restaurant and we went to the basketball game. The next night I went to the Hunger Games at Thanksgiving Point. A company that Tyler refers business to gave us tickets. His parents and Drew and Rachel were there too. It was such a fun week! All of Katelin's events, Michael Buble concert, Hunger Games. I'll take it! On Friday we went up to Daybreak to have dinner with the Petersons, Millers and Smiths. We went to Cafe Rio then hung out at their house and talked. On Saturday I went with my mom and sister to my cousin Andrea's baby shower and it was to see a lot of my cousins. We went shopping afterward and then Ty and I went to see Despicable Me 2.

A few weekends ago we went to dinner at El Azteca, shopped around at Costco (sometimes it's fun to wonder around that place!) and saw The Saratov Approach. Tyler really liked it because he served him mission in Russia. The next day Tyler went to the freezing football game with his dad and I went to brunch with my mom and Joc at Magelby's Fresh. I love their pancakes! I also finalized the lamps I wanted for my bedroom. Pictures of the decorating coming soon! That night we went to dinner at the Smoking Apple with Marc and Courtney then shopping at Traverse Mountain. They lit the tree that night. It's always a fun time with them!

Katelin goes to Singapore

Katelin went into the MTC last week and it was quite the eventful week! We started the festivities on Saturday night when she came with us for the first time to the temple. Afterward we went to Spaghetti Factory for dinner. She gave her mission farewell talk on Sunday and then we had brunch at the Parcell's house afterward. They made the best pancakes on the planet with butter syrup and fruit. Heather made the most delicious sugar cookies I have ever had that looked like the Singapore flag. On Tuesday night we went to dinner at Happy Sumo with the family then she got set apart for her mission. This was the night we went to the Michael Buble concert afterward. On Wednesday we went to lunch at Mi Ranchito then dropped her off at the MTC! We will miss her so much but know that she will have an amazing time. She is a fun and outgoing person so I know everyone will love her. She's lucky that she gets to serve people all day long and not worry about anything else!

Michael Buble Concert!

While we were sitting waiting for everyone to get to the church to set apart Katelin for her mission, I asked Rachel if she was excited for the Michael Buble concert. She said, "you like him?! We have two extra tickets! Come with us!" I couldn't believe my ears. I seriously got teary-eyed because I was so excited! I kept asking her if she was being serious. So...an hour and half later I find myself sitting in amazing seats in the 5th row at the concert. I still can't believe it! His voice is perfect and smooth like butter. That's the only way I can think to describe it. He had this amazing group open for him that played instruments with their voices. I think they are the same group that opened for him a few years ago when I went to his concert. When he sang the Beatles' "Love" song, a million paper hearts fell from the ceiling. It was such an incredible night!

Snow Canyon Half Marathon

Tyler, Carol and Walt ran the Snow Canyon Half Marathon again this year. We drove to St. George on Friday night and had dinner at Texas Roadhouse then drove the course. We then went to the hotel and went to sleep early so they could get some good sleep for the race. The next morning we had waffles at the hotel for breakfast then I dropped them off at the finish line. I went back to the hotel and got ready, then by the time I was done I went to the course and took pictures as they crossed the finish line. Heather and Thomas were at her parent's house for the weekend which was just up the road so they came and cheered him on at the finish line. It was so nice to see them!

After the race, Tyler showered and we went to Cafe Rio for lunch then headed out of town! It was a quick trip. When we got back to Provo we got together with Naomi and Barry and went to eat dinner at 180 Tacos then went to the BYU basketball game.

Whitney and Clayton's Wedding

My cousin Whitney got married to her fiance Clayton in September and it was a really fun weekend. It started off where we helped Michelle design the desserts and food table. They had the wedding dinner at Brick Oven which was really good. My whole family came and sat by each other then we went shopping at Dillards afterward. The next day they got married in the Salt Lake temple and Tyler and I went up with my mom and grandparents. We went to the sealing, took pictures then my grandpa bought us lunch at Pei Wei. I went back to work for a bit then helped all night at the wedding reception. We helped set up then serve the food all night. They had the reception at Sun River Gardens and it was pretty with lots of hydrangeas blooming. Plus I ate my weight in cheesecake throughout the night so that's always a positive thing.

BYU Football

We went to a couple of BYU football games this fall. The first we went to with Naomi and Barry. We went to Burger Supreme (YUM! Best cheeseburgers on the planet!) and then after the game Naomi made us hot chocolate at her house. The second game we went to was when Advance Insurance did a tailgate party beforehand. I got us El Azteca for dinner and we had really great seats in the center of the field.
