Hanging out with mom week!

On Monday after work, I met Courtney and Cannon to get yogurt at Red Mango. Love them! The last couple of weeks at work have been CRAZY, so I decided to de-stress with my mom and Tuesday and boy did it work! We went to see "Trouble with the Curve" at the movie theater when we got off work, went shopping, got frozen yogurt and had Rubio's for dinner. Much needed!

This iPhone photo is horrible quality, but oh well. On Wednesday night we went to dinner at Carrabba's (my favorite restaurant because I LOVE the chicken marsala), then went to the temple and did sealings with Tyler's family.

Tyler had to go on a young men's campout, so my mom and I went to the Snowbird ski swap and got some new skis! I am so excited I can hardly stand it. We then got a drink and walked around for a bit because the surroundings were so stunning they looked fake. We kept stopping to smell the pine in the air which happens to be my all-time favorite scent. It was heavenly! After we drove out of the canyon, we went shopping at Fashion Place then went to dinner Pei Wei. We both got the Japanese teriyaki with shrimp which was so delicious and healthy too. We didn't eat until 9 pm and we were starving by that point! We counted and we literally ate and took 30 fortune cookies. I think we like those a little too much, and we wanted to have a lot of fortune as well. I can already tell this week is going to be good.

Don't worry, the fun didn't end after that! We decided to go up to Park City on Saturday morning and do some more shopping! It was gorgeous up there as well, and we went to the outlets. We had Cafe Rio for lunch. On the way up there, Jocelyn invited us to go to the Relief Society General Broadcast. She didn't have tickets for us yet, but then after a couple hours my sister-in-law Lindsay was able to track some down. When Joc called us, we turned around and grabbed some skirts at my mom's. The skirt I grabbed didn't match my outfit that well, so I ended up wearing an outfit that my mom bought at the outlets. I changed in the car, and then as we were walking to the conference center, my sandal completely broke and it was flapping around. Luckily, when we met up with Jocelyn, she had super glue in her purse! It made my laugh so hard that she happened to have that in her purse and I was able to fix my shoe. She said that it comes in handy to have it, so I think I might get some super glue for those "just in case" moments! It was really fun because Tyler's sisters and mom were there too, so we all went to Brio for dinner afterward. It was delicious!

Kirsten's wedding & bridal shower, & climbing the Y

Immediately following our Timpanogos hike, we hurried down the mountain, took quick showers and went to my friend Kirsten's wedding. She was a lovely bride and I'm so happy her and Andy found each other! The week before her sister threw her a "Kirsten in Wonderland" bridal shower which I thought the was cutest thing in the whole world! Alice in Wonderland is still one of my favorite movies.

We went to lunch at Zupa's for Heather's birthday and I got to hang out with my buddy, Ryker.

I made a butter crumble apple pie a couple weeks ago and it was delightful!

The Thursday before our Timp hike, I hike to the Y for my workout for the night. Utah is incredibly gorgeous this time of year!

I almost lost my keys down the Y!

We hiked to the top of Mount Timpanogos!

Last Saturday, we woke up at 5:15 AM and met Walt and Carol to hike Mount Timpanogos! I have been wanting to do this for years and we picked the perfect day to go because the weather was amazing. It was so beautiful that I couldn't believe my eyes! The fall color and stunning this time of year in the Fall. It was actually a lot harder than I expected it to be. We went up the Aspen Grove side and apparently it's much harder to go up that side than the Timpanooke trail. It was really steep and my legs almost fell off by the end of day, but I made it to the tippy top! It took us 5 hours up, 4 hours down. Walt, Carol and I all fell down at one point. My IT-band was killing me on the way down, and Carol really hurt her back on a rock when she fell! BUT, it was amazing and I'm really glad I did it. I love my little hiker husband. He hasn't always been the  most willing to hike but he has turned a whole new leaf lately! I love him too much.
