Update: My Sister's Keeper is a TEARJERKER!!! Like I had to re-do my eye makeup when I got home!



PLUS: I got an amazing pedicure today. I decided to treat myself. The lady massaged my legs for like 15 minutes....ahhh

Laser Tagging, Boating, and My Sister's Keeper

1) We went laser tagging with the office last night and it was so much fun! I actually really enjoyed it and did really well! Ha ha

2) I was able to go boating with Ashley and on her cousin's boat two days ago! I went wakeboarding and it was sooo much fun! I am normally a bit frightened to go over the wake but I conquered my fear and am ready to start trying jumps in Lake Powell :) Thanks for the fun time guys!

3) I'm going to see My Sister's Keeper with Catherine today...I'll let you know how I like it!

Food for thought

At least once a day here in Texas, I run across a customer or employee at work that is completely shocked when they see a diamond on my ring finger. "You're MARRIED?!!! How old are you??!!!" It cracks me up. They almost fall over when I tell them I'm 22 and I've been married for a year.

This is why I feel totally and completely comfortable with my decision for not having kids anytime soon. I'M still a BABY myself PEOPLE! I shouldn't even be married at this age! (Although I'm glad I am and I love my husby Tyler). I'm not going to lie, it sort of kills me when people ask when I'm going to have kids. I'm 22!!! Twenty two! I think it's great that some of my friends my age want to or already have kids, but that's just not what I want. I have so many years ahead of me to have children. I could wait until I'm 28 to start having kids....who knows! And the point is that it's up to me. And only me. (Okay maybe Tyler a little, but he doesn't have to stay at home with them all day ha ha).

I just wanted everyone in the bubble of Utah to know that people here think I'm insane for being married at 22, and that it's totally normal not to want to have kids at my age. I graduated from high school 4 years ago. I am a baby! This being said, it doesn't mean I don't want kids eventually. I'm excited to start a family...eventually.

Yes, this really did just happen to me

Okay...I am fuming right now. FUMING I tell you. So, last Thursday night I am innocently on my way home from work at about 9:45 at night. I am in a left turning lane, in the right lane of the two turning lanes. The light turns green and I turn left into my lane. CRUNCH. An asian lady runs smack into the back driver's side of my car. She thought her lane was the only turning lane so she was driving into the lane meant for me. I made a claim and I'm getting it fixed....blah blah blah.

So TONIGHT I'm on my way home from work and I'm in the same turning lane as last Thursday night. I decide I need to be very defensive in this turn because some drivers are just. plain. idiots. So the light turns green again and I proceed cautiously making sure the driver in the left turning lane sees me. Guess what? This particular idiot thinks that the lane he is in is a STRAIGHT WAY lane. Seriously. Luckily with my savvy driving skills I turn my car to the right so he narrowly misses my beloved red Camry. I was DYING...nay, yelling at him. He is on his cell phone looking as confused as ever. All I have to say right now is WOW.

Wow.

4th, baby Claire, thoughts on self control, and such...

I don't know why, but I just don't feel like posting that much these days. Here is what we have been up to:

- We had a fun 4th. Ty got of work at 2, we went to the pool with friends, got ready and went to dinner at yummy Posados then watched the fireworks in Dallas
- Anniversary Sale at Nordy's starts tomorrow! Work is going well. I tell you though, you have NO IDEA how much self control I have to have to work there. I mean, seriously. I would say it's almost on the border of torture. I see all these wonderful clothes and shoes and jewelry every single day and what do I want to do? I just want to buy it. And wear it. And love it. And perhaps tuck it into bed with Tyler and I at night...ummm....it's so hard to resist!!!
- This past weekend we saw the movie UP in 3-D and it was cute. We ate at Chili's.
- Pool party Thursday was today with Ty's office. I could actually stay the whole time this week because I didn't have to work until 5.
- DESIREE HAD HER BABY yesterday!!! Woo hoo!!! I'm going to see cute little Claire and mommy Des in the hospital tomorrow. Congratulations Dizzle!!! (I can't believe some of my friends are having babies....what!?)
- Tyler's family is in Lake Powell for the FOURTH time without us. No fair!
- HAPPY birthday today Katelin Parcell! THE BIG 18!!!
-Hmm....I'm sure I'll think of more later.

Poppyseed Chicken - Yummo!

{Poppyseed Chicken}

5 chicken breasts, cooked
2 cans cream of chicken soup
2 cups sour cream
2 sleeves Ritz crackers, crushed
2 TBSP poppy seeds

Place cooked chicken in an ungreased baking dish. Mix together soup and sour cream then pour over chicken. Mix crackers and poppy seeds. Spread over chicken. Bake at 350 for 25 minutes. Serve with pasta or rice.
