Pictures of our new house!

Guest bathroom - I have not hung the decor on the walls yet

I haven't finished decorating our room - but here is our bed!

I LOVE this painting sooo much! I had wanted it for months, and my parents and grandparents gave it to us for Christmas!

I have not finished decorating, but I wanted to give you a sneak peak of the house! We have an office that we need to finish and two spare bedrooms that are empty, but I'll put up pictures when we are finished with those, and finished decorating our bedroom. We love it and are so thankful to have our beautiful house!

What Sunbeams Say

I have to post some of the things my Sunbeams say in church. They are hysterical sometimes and I laugh out loud during class when they say things like this:

Sister Moss: Does anyone know how we can talk to Heavenly Father?
Maddy: Yeah, we can go to his house.
Sister Moss: He lives too far to visit him; he lives in heaven.
Maddy: Oh, well we can take a space ship to see him!
Sister Moss: No, we can't do that. Does anyone know how we can talk to Heavenly Father?
Carmen: Phones!
Sister Moss: No, Heavenly Father doesn't have a phone.
Carmen: We can buy Jesus a phone!

Ha ha oh, man.

Another time in my other Sunbeam class in 2009 we were talking about prophets, and Greta was trying to say something President Monson but got a bit confused:

(Raising hand) Greta: Well, President Obonson....(She got mixed up with President Obama and President Monson. Easy mistake).

These kids are handful to say the least, but they sure are funny!

Be careful what you wish for...

So last Sunday we had dinner at my Grandparents and I was talking with my mom saying I wished I didn't have to go to work the next day. You know, the weekend went by too fast. Boy, did that wish come true. I woke up to go to the gym on Monday morning with Tyler and I felt very nauseous. You can guess what happened from there. I had food poisoning...and bad! So I didn't end up going to work on Monday...joke's on me!

Anyway, we've been having a great time so far in 2010...last week was my dad's 50th birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD! I dropped off a little surprise at his house (balloons and gift card to Barne's and Noble) so that when he came home that night he would find it, and then on Thursday we threw him a surprise birthday dinner at his favorite restaurant, Mi Ranchito! He loves Mexican food, and I would recommend that place. We went to Los Hermanos last weekend with Marc and Courtney and then to Comedy Sportz, an improv comedy place. It was really fun. We've been hooked on American Idol and the Bachelor and had a little AI party with Kim and Dave Taylor from our ward which was fun. P.s. I just love the Bachelor. Oh, the drama. This week we had temple night with the family and got to eat dinner at Happy Sumo, and Jocelyn was our waitress! She just started working there a few weeks ago so we requested her to serve us. Brynley's (my niece) birthday was on Friday so we went bowling at Fat Cats and ate at Costa Vida. I got shrimp tacos...yummo! Then Tyler and I went to see Avatar in 3D and we thought it was a good movie. We came out of the theater and there had been a HUGE snow blizzard and our car was covered with at least 6 inches of snow! Yesterday we went to the gym then got the fixins (ha ha, Texas word!) to made cake balls. You bake a cake, then mash it up with a can of frosting and roll it into balls. Then you melt chocolate bark and coat the outside with it. Yummy!

Anyway, this blog serves somewhat as a journal for me so that's why I write everything down. Hope you're doing well!

Christmas time and New Years!

NYE party at Marc and Courtney's (Happy Birthday Marc!), Christmas morning brunch at the Parcells, yummy Cold Stone with Marc and Court, and the Vegas Bowl game are a few of the fun things we have done lately! Now I'm ready for summer again.... :)

I'll give you a hint - YUMMO!

THIS!!!
We had our annual gingerbread house making on Christmas Eve at my grandparent's house and it was so much fun! It is such a fun tradition that I always look forward to. Katelyn played her flute as Michelle played the piano. We had our traditional ham and swiss cheese melt sandwiches that were to die for and homemade wassail. I loved every second of it!
