Hiking, etc.

I got this amazing tickets to the gunshow picture a few weeks ago and loved it!!! My boy is always making me laugh and I adore him. We had some some friends over for s'mores on our new firepit. Oakley and Scott and Naomi and Barry came over and it was delish! We absolutely love sitting around the fire and hanging out with our friends and family. It is going to be such a fun thing for us do every summer. Jocelyn looked super cute at work so I had to snap a picture of her, naturally. And my mom and Steve went horseback riding with my grandpa and I thought the pictures were too cute not to keep! Tyler and I also went hiking a few weeks ago. We went at the end of the day on Saturday after we had already been working all day so we were really tired but we made it to the top of Big Springs. About 1/4 way up Tyler said, "let's just turn around and go to a movie." Ha ha I couldn't stop and had to finish what we started so we made it to the top and he said, "that was fun!" which totally cracked me up because he really didn't think it was but I thought it was cute that he was trying to be positive. That's my boy! Next time we decided we are going hiking in the morning rather than at night so we aren't totally exhausted.

I

Lake Powell!

My mom and I went to the Nordstrom Anniversary sale and then went to dinner at In-N-Out because everywhere else that we wanted to go was closed. It was tasty!

The next day we left for Lake Powell. Steve, my mom and Katelyn decided to come with us for day since the Parcells weren't coming until Sunday. We stopped at Cluff's on the way down for dinner, then made it there around 11 that night. We had an absolute blast all day on Saturday. We got up, and had oatmeal for breakfast then went on a jet ski ride with Steve and my mom. Jocelyn was already there with some friends so we went to pick her up and then we all went on a fun hike through some narrows to the "bowl." We had to swim through the narrows and it was so gorgeous. After that we went surfing then back to the houseboat for dinner (spaghetti). Jocelyn and her friends stayed on the houseboat and the rest of us went back out after dinner to a glass lake where we all skied, wake boarded and surfed. It was such a gorgeous night and the sunset was stunning. They left the next day :( Lindsay, Tyler and I went to Wal-Mart to get some things and had lunch at McDonald's then went back to the boat and paddle boarded. Everyone else came that night and we took the houseboat out. It was a really relaxing trip!

The Week of the 4th of July!

Tyler and I LOVE the 4th of July. We always have celebration after celebration with friends and family. It's one of the best weeks of the year! We started out on Tuesday with a friend's firework show after I went to a movie, dinner and shopping with my mom. The next day was Stonegate of Fire. Carol and Walt's neighborhood puts on a big party where we all eat a delicious BBQ. Walt makes his pork sandwiches. Then when it gets dark Tyler and Drew light off a ton of aerial fireworks that last for at least 30 minutes. It's awesome! My mom and I were sitting on a blanket in the grass and the sprinklers turned on halfway through and started pelting my face. That didn't put a damper on our night though :)

The next night (the 3rd) I didn't have to work so I met up with some fellow bloggers for lunch at Magleby's Fresh. After that I did a little shopping at Osmond Designs and did some grocery shopping. I then made some cherry almond bread to take up to Steve's that night and cut up a watermelon. When Tyler got off work we drove up to Steve's house in Oakley and had a delicious BBQ with some of his family and friends and also Bruce and Jamie and their kids since they were up in Park City camping. After the BBQ we went to the Oakley rodeo and it was so good! We loved it. We thought it was a lot better than Strawberry Days this year. We spent the night at Steve's house that night then woke up and had pancakes, potatoes and bacon for breakfast. Steve had to announce the Oakley parade so we went to that. It was such a small, cute parade! No big professional floats. We liked it. After that we left so Tyler could go golfing and I could take a nap. After I woke up I went to get a mani/pedi with Carol, Rachel and Lindsay then shopping at the GAP. We had a delicious steak BBQ at Carol and Walt's where we ate outside then went to the Stadium of Fire where Carrie Underwood performed. We got a flat tire of the way home so we had to leave our scooter at the kid's apartment and Tyler got it the next day. Drew and Casey came to pick up Paisley, Tyler and I. The following day, Tyler went golfing again and I went to get my hair cut.

We had such a fun, eventful week and we loved every second! I'm all up for party after party after party :)

Work movie and night with mom! And more :)

My work had a movie afternoon to see Transformers and I snuck my mom in (with a little permission). She got off work and came straight to Thanksgiving Point! After the movie we went shopping at Dillard's then went to dinner at Pizzeria Limone. I HIGHLY recommend this pizza place! I want to go back immediately. It's so nice spending time with just my mom and I. We are so much alike and really enjoy just relaxing, shopping and eating together. Earlier that day I had a scare that I hadn't hit my number for the quarter at work but then found out that the reports were wrong. New traveled fast so when I came back to my desk my cute friend Jennifer had decorated my cubicle with pink ribbon. It was so cute!

And I couldn't not record this cute snapchat I got from Tyler. Great minds think alike when it comes to getting dressed I guess. So funny!

Backyard Firepit!

Our garden is growing and growing and coming right along. It's so much fun and I feel like I mama watching her babies grow!

On Friday, Tyler and I didn't have plans which I love sometimes because then we can just play it by ear and do whatever we want. He had a gift card to Scheels that he won at the Bear River golf tournament. He got a new golf club. He's been going a lot of golfing lately at Fox Hollow because he can go for free since I work at Mozy. It's a great perk! We then went to Dillard's so I could shop the sale. I was looking at dishes for a bit (okay, longer than a bit. Like 30 minutes) and then I couldn't find Tyler. He had fallen asleep on one of the beds in the home section ha ha ha! After we left there we had the tastiest burrito at Freebirds. I had gone there years ago in Dallas but it was Tyler's first time. We then drove down to American Fork and got frozen yogurt at Farr's, our favorite. It was such a fun night with my "boyfriend" as I've been calling him lately.

The next day Tyler worked his booty off in the sweltering sun all day to finish our firepit. We had Mark and Courtney over for roasting hotdogs on our new firepit! We had chips, salad, potato salad and of course s'mores. It's so much to have that in our back yard to invite friends and family over! We can't wait to keep doing it all summer long.
