We went to Third Street Promenande, went to a great italian restaurant, saw "Get Smart," went to the Fashion District, Dodgers game, got rear-ended by some Mexican lady on the way to church... :(, Denny's for brunch, Newport beach, swimsuit and clothes shopping, dinner at Outback, hot tubbing and lots of great laughs! We had such a fun, great, happy family time and I loved it!

My favorite salesman :)
Cake decorating with my new friends!
The finished product....look how cool!

On Wednesday morning Ty and I got up at 7:30 and went to the Los Angeles temple! It took a lot longer to get there than we thought because of the early morning traffic and I had to be at work at 11, but it was still a lovely experience :) That night I went to do cake decorating with some of my friends in the ward! It was really fun and I think I might get more into that hobby because I liked it a lot. I have been working a lot this week at California Pizza Kitchen and I like it a lot. My managers are really nice and it keeps me busy! :) Also, last Sunday Ty and I were invited to a cute couple, Matt and Whitney's, apartment for pie and ice cream with a lot of the younger couples in our ward! It was a lot of fun! Tyler's parents and sister Lindsey got here last night and I couldn't be happier! We went to 3rd street promenade last night, out to dinner and saw the moving "Get Smart." It was SO funny and I recommend it, especially if you like "The Office"-style humor. We are going to the fashion district today and then tonight we are going to the Dodgers v. Angels game which is a big rivalry! I'll post pictures of the fun later!

Best husband and best mom in the world!

Tyler and have been married for a month and a half now and we LOVE it! I can't imagine anything better than to be married for time and all eternity to the perfect man for me. Here is my story for the day...

I was in a hurry this morning because I had to be in the office working (answering phones for Platinum) at one. I started laundry and the dishwasher and grabbed my things to go to the grocery store. We really need milk and I haven't had time to get it the last two days. I had my purse, the GPS (won't drive without it!), my keys and an empty orange juice jug to throw away in the trash chute on the way to the elevator. I got to the elevator and realized that I still had the OJ jug in my hand, so I pressed the elevator button and hurried to run back to the chute before the elevator door opened. My hands were full and I struggled to open the trash chute door and then the small door to throw the jug down. I heard a metal clinking and looked in my hands to see if I might have dropped anything. I didn't notice anything so I ran to the elevator door as it was closing and stepped inside. When I got to the parking garage I realized that the car keys were not on my key chain. My house and mail keys were still there, but not the car key or automatic unlocker. I went back upstairs and realized that I had dropped it in the trash chute! Tyler and I only have one pair of keys to the truck so whenever I use it I just clip them onto keys. I guess while I was opening the trash chute, the key clip opened up and the only thing that fell off were the keys to the truck. I was absolutely devastated!! Our only set of keys! Plus I was supposed to pick Tyler up at 6 so we could have a fun night together! I hurried down to the office and asked maintenance to go down to the trash chute, hoping they would find it. No problem, it would just be laying at the top, right? Apparently, the compressor had already grinded everything up and it is too dangerous to go down where the compressor is. I was so upset! I called Tyler to tell him the bad news and I know he could tell I was upset. He asked me to get the vin number on the car and told me kindly that he would take care of it. He texted me later saying that it wasn't a big deal and everything would work out. I LOVE this man! He never gets mad or annoyed with me and is always so patient. My mom also brought up another good point which totally made me feel better. Everything happens for a reason...maybe if I would have gotten into the truck and gone to the store something much worse would have happened to me. My mom always makes me feel better about EVERYTHING! She always has the best points and positive attitude. I really do not know what I would do without her. I always call her when I am in predicaments like this, and even though she is not here with me, she always makes the situtation seem easier to handle. I love you so much mom! I remember hearing stories of peope who worked in the World Trade Center in New York where something went a little wrong on the morning of the attacks, and they got held up at home or something. Had those events not happened, they would have gotten to work on time and been killed in the two towers. I'm not saying anything that catstophic would have happened to me, but I'm just saying that you never really know. Things happen for a reason. I'm so lucky to have such an amazing husband who understands me and my feelings. He never blames me for things or makes me feel worse...he only makes me feel better!

Too LATE!

I'm a little peeved right now I guess you could say. The time is currently 10:53 pm and Tyler is not home from work. It's not his fault, he has been done selling for a good hour and a half. Someone that works with him (name not to be said) takes two hours for each sale and apparently thinks it's normal to knock on people's doors at 9:30 pm. Tyler has to wait where he is while, as the minutes tick by, I go from patient to very unpatient. Not with him of course, but with the someone who he has to get a ride home from. I've already watched two episodes of the Bachelorette at abc.com....still waiting. If a salesman knocked on my door at 9:30 pm I would probably start loading the shotgun. Ugghhh....I'm peeved.

Happenings as of late

The last few days have been lovely! Here are some hightlights...

Okay this isn't really a highlight, more like a way to defend myself. I bought some pepper spray, you know, just in case those bums on the street as I'm walking home try something....I'll take them down. Yes, this does make me feel safer :)
Tyler sold three alarm systems on Saturday!!! I picked him up at six and we went to Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica. It is a street that you can't drive on that has street performers, restaurants, multiple movies theaters and shopping galore! It was a lot of fun!

This makes me laugh! Tyler got picked from some of the street performers to be in their act. They were really funny and you could tell they rehearsed a lot. He was the "rich white guy" and he was pretty much forced to give them $5, which was okay because I thought they deserved it because they were so funny.

And last, but certainly not least, is TRADER JOE'S! Ever since I got here I have heard of this great and unique grocery store so on Thursday I ventured out to it. It was so great! Everything in the store is unique and amazing without being overpriced. I got these ginger cat cookies (for people ha ha) and oriental rice crackers. Tyler doesn't like when I eat the rice crackers because he thinks they smell like burnt dog food. They are SO GOOD! :) I love them! I was eyeing some kettle corn but I'll save that for another time. They have all sorts of foods like a regular grocery store, only the food is unique and they have more varieties of things. I drove a long way down Sunset Blvd. to get there, which was fun.
ALSO, a job update for me: I got a job serving at California Pizza Kitchen that I have trained for Friday, Monday and today so far. The training goes throughout this week and then I begin serving next week! I really like it so far, and I get a free lunch every day which is perfectly convenient since the BBQ chicken salad happens to be my favorite! I get paid $8 an hour PLUS tips! In Utah as a server you get paid $2.15 an hour, which just goes to taxes anyway. This is great! I think it's because the cost of living is so much higher in California. I told the other two jobs I had that I got another offer thatI was accepting. When I am done serving at CPK during the day I am also an office assistant for Platinum Protection, Tyler's company that he sells for. This is nice because the office is just an apartment in our building two floors below. I am actually here right now! I answer the phone when the reps call in and schedule techs out to install the systems. It's very easy!
The Lakers game is tonight so Tyler is coming home early because people don't want to be bothered while they are watching it. I think we might go on a motorcyle ride to Venice beach or something like that! I'll keep you updated :)

Visit with Krista, Bim and Little :)

My sweet cousin Krista invited Tyler and I for dinner on Sunday in Pasadena and it was a lovely treat! I was so excited when she invited us because it's so nice to see people you know when you are away from home. She made delicious enchilladas and we had a nice talk. After dinner we sat on the lawn and soaked in the perfect weather as Ally played, danced, jumped and ran. Thanks you guys! I'm so glad you live here!

Look at those curls!
Drunk on chocolate cookies :) Ha ha I love little children. How great would that be to eat a delicious chocolate cookie and not care about it getting all over your face? Your hands have chocolate all over them and you don't mind wiping them all over the blanket you are sitting on and just lay down in joy? Ahh...what a great life.
