We have been really busy lately with some huge life changes recently -
we moved! We sold our house in a matter of two weeks. We had no idea it would
happen so quickly. We took pictures and listed it on the market and began
getting multiple calls per day of people wanting to come and look. We got our
first offer two weeks to the date of listing our house and ended up accepting
the offer! It is always bittersweet to move because you love the people in your
ward and in your neighborhood. We had some great neighbors. I was in the
primary presidency, so I had to say goodbye to all of the kids which was sad!
Some of the kids I had known for 3 years. While our house was still in the
closing process, Tyler and I were looking for lots that we could buy so we
could build our new house. Before the house closed we found an amazing half
acre lot in Pleasant Grove by the mountain. It is gorgeous and everything that
I wanted in a lot! We absolutely loved it and immediately put in an offer the
next day. The guy that owned it said that he already had a better offer, so we
asked him what it would take to buy the lot and put in an offer for that. He
accepted it even though he got so many other offers that same day! We are now the proud owners of that lot, which includes a next door neighbor pig named Kevin. Our house
closed, we moved out to Tyler's parents house and our lot closed yesterday.
It's so exciting. Speaking of moving, my mom helped SOOO much! I was packing a
little bit but didn't want to pack everything in case their loan didn't go
through. It also closed a couple days late, on Thursday, and they wanted us out
by Saturday! My mom came over and worked with us on Friday for 12 hours
straight. We took a small break to get dinner at Bajio then kept working! The
next morning we finished up and some people from our ward helped us move all of
our belongings to the Parcell's basement garage. We were all so exhausted. Tyler and I came home to take a nap then went to dinner at Cafe Rio with my mom and stopped by at the Taylors to catch up with them and the Browns. We
can't wait to start building!
