Ski Days

Well, I think it's safe to say this season that if you can't find me, I'm probably on the ski slopes! McKenzie and I went a few weekends ago and it was a beautiful day. The inversion has been so bad here in Utah that it feels like we are stuck in muck all day. It is the worst air in nation. Yuck! It was so nice to get up and out of the inversion to warmer weather and clear blue skis. That night we went to dinner at El Azteca and the BYU Men's volleyball game with Oakley and Scott.

The following weekend we went to dinner at Pizza Factory with Kendra and Landon, then went over to their house to play games and Amy and Jaron came over as well. The next night we drove up to Oakley and Scott's and went to a cute little cafe by their house to get dirty diet cokes (coconut flavoring with a squeeze of lime) and hot chocolate. On Monday I had to get a filling on one of my back teeth so my mom and I went to El Azteca for lunch then I had the whole left side of my face numbed up. It was hard to talk on the phone at work after that! On Wednesday I drove up to Daybreak and Oak helped me look at her friend's houses to get ideas for ours and then we went to the mall. That Friday was Rachel's birthday dinner at Brio then getting some shopping done at the mall. I got a really cute rug for under my kitchen table in our new house.

Last week was sales kickoff at work where we take 3 days and have meetings to discuss Mozy's strategy for the upcoming year. We had a casino night where I played Black Jack and earned tickets based on the amount of money I won, and I ended up winning a really nice camera! After work that Wednesday in the afternoon we went to lunch at PF Chang's as a team then went to see a movie. On Friday we went to Scott and McKenna Brown's for dinner and talked for a few hours. It was really fun to catch up with them! On Saturday I went skiing all day at Sundance with my mom. She hurt her back over a year ago and was worried that it would hurt her but she was totally fine and we had a great day. We brought our lunches and ate in the lodge halfway through the day. That night we went to the temple with the Parcells and then went to La Jolla Groves for dinner. I got the chicken fettucine alfredo and it was really good. I want to go back to get that again. Their rolls are unbelievable too.

This week we watched the Bachelor at Casey and Ashley's house. She is on bed rest because she went into pre-term labor so we wanted to go over and keep her company and get in some of television's most quality entertainment. Lindsay's birthday was on Wednesday so the family went to Thai Drift for dinner. Tyler works with some guys at work that are in a band so went to the Awful Waffle on Thursday night to support them after I went to my spin class with Marin. Kim and Curtis met us there. They were really good and it was really fun! This Friday we went over to Marc and Courtney's and made homemade BBQ chicken pizza which was really, really good then watched a scary movie. Saturday I woke up and went skiing for a couple hours, then it was Ashley's baby shower at 2. After that I went to Osmond Designs and found a gorgeous mirrored chest then went to Dale and Chelsey's baby Summer's birthday party. Ty and I went to dinner at Mama Chu's on 8th north and it was delish! I had never been there before but always heard that it was good. I will definitely go back. Heather and Casey are in Costa Rica so the kids are staying at Walt and Carol's house. We took them to church today, then Ryker and I watched the Lorax in my bed until he fell asleep.
