The Canyons

My mom and I went skiing at the Canyons because I had bought a Groupon for skis passes and we couldn't use them because we were busy every Saturday all winter so we went on the last day of the season. Some of the runs were really great and some were really icy. The ski resort is unreal though! Especially after skiing at Sundance all winter which is a very small resort. There is a fun little village at the middle of the mountain where there are places to eat including a Belgian waffle place which was delicious. We also got a slice of pizza to share while warming up in the lodge.

I was in heaven with all the terrain there was to cover! We did have a few mishaps however, one being going up a lift that only had DOUBLE BLACK DIAMONDS. I thought there was a black diamond up there (according to the sign there was) and we had previously gone down a groomed black diamond which was really fun....so we went up and took 45 minutes to get back down because there were basically icy mountain craters and not normal snow along the slope. It was so hard and ridiculous! They should have closed those runs because they were seriously dangerous! I was sweating when I got down because it was such hard work. Luckily we were able to go down a few fun runs before we had to leave. That night we went to the temple with Walt's family to celebrate Phyllis and Harris Parcell's anniversary. We all went to Spaghetti Factory for dinner afterward.
