Tyler and I grew a lovely garden this year (we really have
loved eating out of it) but he accidently bought a bunch of cherry tomato
plants instead of big ones. I have picked HUNDREDS of tomatoes this year. We
picked our first big tomato and were very excited to eat. Nothing like home
grown tomatoes! We went to my mom’s neighborhood party and helped volunteer by
serving food then got to eat some great food. They had pork sandwiches, corn on
the cob, watermelon, snow cones, pies and ice cream and popcorn. They have a
cute train that kids can ride, a hay ride, line dancing lessons, singers and an
antique car show. It was a blast! Tyler took a little ride in an antique car
and it was hilarious. The old man that owned the car took off really fast. It
was cute. I read an amazing book, My Name Used to be Muhammed, about a man who
went from Islam to Christianity and it was incredible. He came and spoke at
Riverside so Carol took us for lunch and to hear him speak. His story is unreal
and really shows how the hand of God has protected him. What an incredible
story.
